Finding files in a folder

I was curious if there was a way to search a folder for files. I want to be able to let the user see a list of all .txt files in a folder, but I gave them the ability of creating their own files so I don't know what the file names they might have chosen. I could create a list to log the file names as they create them, but an option to scan a folder would be so cool.
