I'm a math student taking a basic programing class with C++

In this class I've already learn how to write an algorithm that will suffice to the creation of a program. It's a tough class for me, but I like computers and being able to write a program of my own it's very satisfying. I'm learning today how to put an if-else statement inside another if-else statement, and the curly bracers are annoying.
