Is it to late for me to change?

I been googling about C++ and Java if I'm gonna be a game programmer. People say that Java would be an easy language than C++ and it will be a breeze if I learn Java first then C++. So anyways, Is it to late for me to change program language? I'm only in chapter 2... in "C++ how to program" as a beginner. O.O

It's too late when you no longer draw breath.

If you started only today, how can it be possibly too late to switch?
(aside from the fact that it's never too late)

Edit: also, here's a free Java book:

I haven't read it myself, but its counterpart "Thinking in C++" is quite decent, so I assume this one is as well.

I would learn C++ first if you want to be a game programmer. C and C++ are purest of popular high level languages and are great foundations to learning other languages like Java and C#.

Not to mention no competent game engine is written in Java. Unity is written in C# and is not bad but the best engines are C or C++.
