I know nothing, HELP :)

Hello, I am just getting into Computer Science, and my school uses C++ as their language. I have no prior knowledge, but I am aware that this is a very stressful and hard major. I was wondering couple things if you guys can help out!

1. Is there any advice you would give me?
2. What are couple things, I should have down before going deeper into C++
3. How long does it take to learn the language on average?
4. Is there any sites or anything you would recommend me looking over that may help me understand or that may help me learn things besides cPLUSPLUS.
The very 1st advice ....never think that c++ is very hard.have a positive attitude towards it.
Iwould suggest read the book "c++ without fear"...it will help u

There is a very good book called "Problem solving with C++" which I used when I started.

lol i like iHutch105's reply
I know a few things about C++, but very basic things. I've pretty much been using this site, "C++ for Dummies", and a few powerpoints from a teacher. I don't really recommend C++ for dummies... but I might be able to send you some powerpoints.
Thank you guys, and that is a very deep quote, either way. Any more reccs?
I recently got my AA in CS and I'm continuing for a BS. It help if you really like to program. Just like anything else it takes practice. I also recommend these forums...
