Recently, I decided to get into web development and was wondering if I should keep studying C++ or move my attention to web specific languages. To me, C++ is a great language that will allow me to understand how everything "works", and I for sure want to learn this (memory management etc). On the other hand, it seems like dynamic web langauges are too high level to accomplish this.

Any advice is appreciated!

P.S. I don't want to know a gazillion langauges. What matters to me is that I become a solid, knowledgable programmer :P

if you want to get into web development, i would sugest that you learn html, css and javascript. and maybe some php

i would still sugest to learn c++, so you can do some application development whenever you get bored of web development.

Knowing C++ well will definitely make you solid and knowledgeable. The more you know the better...
