Visual C++ 6.0 Text to Binary

Hey i'm using visual C++ 6.0 to try and create a program that converts text to binary. i cant seem to find any code online that deals with a program like 6.0 C++ bascially i want to be ale to type in a edit box click a button and get the code to convert in binarry in a new window. so far i only have they outline and i cant get the ascii text to display i ascii again when i click the button i have no clue where to go from here

Text to binary as in text to a series of '1' and '0' characters?

To start, I'd suggest upgrading your Visual C++. Version 6.0 was released in 1998. :/

Could you please show us the piece(s) of code that you're having trouble with? That'd help tremendously.
