Problem: adding external library

I want to write calculator program. I've decided that simple doubles and longs won't be enough to use its full potential, so I've downloaded an apfloat pack from http://www.apfloat.org - said to be simple to use with c++. And it looks like it's simple enough in use for me. But, I don't know what to do with all those files contained in this pack. What should a simple beginner like me do?
