Just curious. Let's say someone completely understands a book like "C++ PRIMER," for example. Could that person effectively perform at a job that requires knowledge of c++? If not, would you need to first understand that book fully then get another book that "specializes" in a certain area?
Also, any good recommendations for books as well. Thanks.
Programming requires the ability to think about solving problems using the tools made available by the chosen programming language. You could know the syntax of a language perfectly and still be completely useless as a programmer.
Yeah, I feel that. My mind thinks like a programmer. I've always thought like that. My problem is I don't know syntax as far as C++ goes. It's like math...I've always loved it because there are so many ways to come to a solution. I used to finish tests, double check answers and be done before anyone. I went to college originally for programming and couldn't stand how basic it all was. Even any book I looked at just seems too slow.
