.cpp file

Hello guys.I'm facing a problem with the compiler that i'm running on my pc.I'm using MinGW compiler and when i'm going to c:\MinGW\bin to create a .txt file and after that to change the type of it to .cpp it doesn't appears anything.I don't know why it doesn't creates the .cpp file.Any ideas?
If you're using Windows, in Windows Explorer go to Tools>Folder Option, then open the "View" tab. (You may need to press the ALT button to see the Tools menu if you're using Vista or 7).

In the "Files and Folders" menu, ensure that "Hide extensions for known file types" is unchecked.

Now you should be able to create ".cpp" files by renaming your ".txt" files. (you always could, but the extension was simply hidden.
thank you very much!! :)
