Problem with C++

Hey guys i'm new in c++ and i have a problem with it.I'm using the MinGW compiler but first i have to change an option to enable the compiler.I'm runing win7 and i think that i have to go to control panel/programs and features/turn windows features on or off but i don't know what option i have to change there...!!
