I'm new to programing, have a good grasp on console apps, and want to jump into gui's. I dont have internet at home, (I run down to the library and use wifi) so I'm looking for downloadable tutorials to help me learn programing for gui's with x code 5.
But i just wanted to ask, since you know how to use xcode, is there something similar in xcode that is like the debug option on visual studio where you can run your finished console app (C++) and run it code by code by pressing the F10, we can then look at the locals to see what values are changing or what not. Let me know if you know how to do that, either by PM or replying, Thanks.
@ rapidxone, the answer is yes, x code does have a debug function. I was going to post how to use it, but I ran into a snag. My hard drive crashed a few weeks ago, and now that I got it replaced, I'm running x code 4.2. I like it, except that I can't build anything. I'm trying to learn coding, and really can't justify $99 a year for an apple developer's license, but whenever I try to build I get "Check dependencies
[BEROR]Code Sign error: The identity '3rd Party Mac Developer Application' doesn't match any valid certificate/private key pair in the default keychain"
does anyone know a way to get around this so I can right practice apps until I actually have an app that might be able to make the $99 worth it?
