Where to start
Hi
I am just starting out in learning C++, I have basic programming skills from using Delphi and am pretty confident with PHP and Mysql.
I am hoping to be able to program win 32 programs and perhaps eventually games. But Im finding it hard to work out where to start. Should I start right at the basics with console applications, or do I start with basic Win32 apps? Are there any good resources on the net to learn from, Im very much a viusal learner rather than read a thousand page books.
So any tips?

If you know Delphi then you'll pick up C++ very quickly. Check out the tutorials on this site
Just start with what you know. Get Borland C++ Builder (which uses the same VCL as Delphi) and you can jump right in.

I was going to use Visual C++ Express to learn. Im on a very tight budget. Are there any tutorials for the begginer using Visual c++?
