New to C++ want to try it out
Im new to C++ and want to see what I can do with it. My main goal is to learn to write programs, mostly for running. I would like to make a small program that would highlight a trail on a map, where it leads and all trails that branch off of it. In addition to that I will also include color variations on these lines according to dificulty of the trail
Do you know any other languages? If this is going to be the first time you've programmed, it might take you a year or so to know enough C++ to write a program like that. Use the tutorials on this site, and in about a month or two try to find some books on GUI programming and go from there.
