"main.cpp - Debug" uses an invalid compiler. Probably the toolchain path within the compiler options is not setup correctly?! Skipping...

what does this mean..i am using codeblocks on my sony vaio windows xp ...i am trying to learn c++ and how to compile..i am new and don't have a clue to what this is? besides my main.cpp is not running due to this. I would appreciate some feedback for a beginner like myself. Please when you explain it to me do not assume anything, please. thnxs

When you post, don't assume anything either, like we can read minds and the like. :-P
Post your code, post the error messages you get, post the compiler/IDE you are using. Also it would be good if you read http://www.cplusplus.com/forum/beginner/1/ .
