Volume Label of Drive

Does anyone know where or how I can get the Volume or Drive label of a cdrom using c++? I googled, but only found code for java.
Well, I don't know what to tell you. The first google result for "Volume Label of Drive C++" shows exactly how to obtain this information if it is for Windows. Note that the search string is the exact title of this thread with "C++" added to it. :-S

Or is it for Linux? If it is, try the Linux forum.
I didn't use quotes. Normally don't have to.
I didn't use them either. I added quotes here just to separate the search string from the paragraph.
Using qoutes when you google is a good habit they generate exatly what you want
FWIW, using quotes on google turns up nothing, but it automatically reruns the search without quotes.

So even if you didn't input quotes it would have been the first link ;P
I was using 'google' in the generic verb form, meaning to search the internet with a web search, not neccessarily with google.com, albeit that is where the word comes from. Its like using 'kleenix' to mean any brand of facial tissue, ya know?

Alirght i don't even remember the exact search term i used, but I remember it came back with results primarily for java and I didn't bother scanning beyond the first page of results.

thanks anyways though
Googling "Volume Label of Drive C++" (with quotes) does find a result!

Andy

P.S. This thread!
'"Volume Label of Drive" C++' (C++ outside "") Seemed to have one result with a mention though.

AFAIK quotes makes you able to search with a phrase, not the individual words inside the qouted part.
