Books for Beginners

i've recently started University on a Computing degree and was wondering if anyone could recommend some good C++ books for beginners?
I've ordered "Accelerated C++: Practical Programming by Example"
by Andrew Koenig and Barbara E. Moo. which has recieved pretty decent reviews on Amazon.co.uk but i'd like to have a few books that i can draw knowledge from.

The best book for C++ developers I think to be "The C++ Programming Language" by Bjarne Stroustrup who is the developer of C++ but you have to know a bit of the language to read it
