I need help getting a program to run

I am hoping to remake a great old videogame called "the quest". Its really fun but the problem is that its 16 bit and I have a 64 bit os. any way I can run a 16 bit program on my 64 bit pc?

(the only os I have access to are win 7 64bit and fedora) (I know about wine but I'd rather use windows if possible.)
64bit Windows doesn't support 16bit apps. Your best bet is to get hold of 32bit XP.
like I said I don't have access to a 32 bit os. And buying it is not an option I'm broke.

If it's a Dos game you could try Dosbox, that's how I got the 16-bit assembler my prof forced me to use in the Assembly Language programming class in University.
Thanks but its not dos. I do use dosbox though and its great.
I was wondering if there was some kind of 16 bit emulator?
