Decent compilers

Hey guys, I just want to know if there are any good compilers out there you would recommend? Since I'm just a beginner, I'd like to gather information from the experts!

Also, I am using code blocks at the moment, so are there any conpilersghat are specific to codeblocks?

If I sound pretty dum, it's because I am.

Doesn't code blocks come with MingW?

Well you can certainly get a version with MinGW. If you are on Windows, you could also try Visual C++ Express as an alternate IDE - it comes with a version of the Microsoft Visual C compiler.

Code::Blocks should work with most compiler but it's mostly used with GCC ( MinGW on Windows )
