Anybody have any idea as to how I can write an application that can factor a quadratic equation? Also, is there some algorithm to salve multi variable equations. I'm smartish enough to know that this isn't all that easy.
For quadratic equations in one variable there is the quadratic formula.
For higher-order equations in one variable you can look up newton's method for finding roots.
