learning C++

ok...so ive been learning C++ for about 5 months now. I think ive learned most of the basics and such. However i feel like an experienced person to teach me. I know it may sound strange but by any chance...would someone be willing to be my "teacher" and help me understand C++? lol
I wonder... maybe I should start up an online C++ tutoring service.

How much would you be willing to pay for private lessons, paki? ;P
nothing seems to stump you Disch maybe you should. not like Ive ever seen you give out bad advice or in error.

i think what your looking for paki is a mentor. they are hard to find since most get nothing out of it.

lol idk if i would be able to pay just yet. I was hoping the excitement of working on projects together would be enough ;)

but i do think i need a teacher of some sort lol

i know. i dont think i have much to offer just yet lol but if it were me who was mentoring...i would just do it out of the excitement for the project at hand lol but thats just me ;)
The problem is I work fulltime already, and one-on-one tutoring/mentoring is very time consuming. =P

I dont know what books you have read. but the books below have been helpful to me and did not make me feel like i was rereading material i had already gone over

effective c+ scott meyers
more effective c++ scott meyers
c++ coding standards: 101 rules, guidelines, and best practices herb sutter
c++ faq lite - this is free but there is also a bigger book of this i havent read yet that is retail.
do you do programming for your profession?

No. I'm in freight forwarding (import/export). Nothing really related to programming.
Agree about effective c++, it's my favourite book.

It's worth purchasing more effective c++ then acorn? I'd considered it before.
