question about c++ programs
ok so i am making some programs and i wanted to know if there is a way to make the program into an icon on your computers desktop so that once you click on it, it will run automaticly. like the internet icon.
are you using visual studio? It probably applies to other IDEs too, but if you build in release mode in visual studio it will create an executable in the release folder of the directory your project is saved in
no i use dev c++. also im 13 and literaly just started so whenever you reply you might have to dumb it down for me haha :D
This question is nothing to do with programming. Look up "desktop shortcuts".
In fact, just right click on your desktop and select whatever option is along the lines of "make new shortcut" in windows these days.

Create a shortcut on your desktop and selecte the ".exe" file of the program. thats it, if you click on it the program will run.
