C++ Primer plus

What do you guys think of C++ Primer plus 5th edition as a good first book to learn from??
What other good books might be of interest for a beginner??

I've heard that C++ Primer is more advanced than C++ Primer plus and that beginners should start with C++ Primer plus........any truth to this?

Maybe I have problem understanding English meaning but isn't the word "Plus" indicate it is more than the "basic" ?

It seem C++ Primer Plus author is Stephen Prata whereas C++ Primer author is Stanley Lippman. So maybe it is just a coincidence when those authors name their books.
