Lapack

I just started learning c++, with my current goal being to invert a matrix (M x N, with least squares in mind). I've read online that Lapack can do the job. I'm on a Mac and have been using Xcode, thus far. And I've read that my mac comes with Lapack. Does anyone know of a "Hello World"-ish program to get started?
