I am new to programming and i would like some help if possible. I have done some research on programming languages and i think that C suits me best. What i want is some advice on a good book for a beginner. Also if you have any other tips to give me please go ahead.

Im currently learning from C++ for Dummies 7 Books in 1 Edition. I got it for $50. It it like 700 pages (I think) and it has a TON of C++ info. I find it easy to learn from.
