How to read signal from machine

hi dear,

there is several injection machine which have a serial data output.
My question is how can i read the data,
1. what equipment do i need to connect the machine with my pc (hopfully it can use USB)
2. how to connect them
3. how to write the script (sample or website)

You can use PortMon or the Hyperterminal to monitor or talk on the serial port but you'll have to know what codes the injection machine uses or you won't understand it anyway.

In general when you buy the hardware, there should be some documentation and one of them should be the codes it is emitting or can receive. All these codes is proprietary to the hardware itself.
