Firmware flow chart for control system

Hi All,

I am in the process of writing firmware for an event driven IoT device and find the visual representation of a flow chart a great way to do see how my code needs to work (sudocode essentially).

I'm struggling to find a program/service that I like and appears fit for purpose.

My question is:
Do you have any recommendations for a flow chart/control system planning program to help visualise firmware development processes?

Cheers,
Dylan

FWIW I just Googled "flow chart/control system planning program to help visualise firmware development processes" and it came up with numerous suggestions which seem to be headed up by 2 possible starting points:
1. https://circuitdigest.com/article/embedded-firmware-development-tips-and-tools
2. https://www.predictiveanalyticstoday.com/top-free-flowchart-software

Beyond that which you might have already tried out, I have no recommendation because my IoT/MCU device tinkering is rudimentary to say the least and pencil/paper is adequate.
Thank you for your reply, those two links were also my first finds and were a great place to start and I am trying them out now.

Ideally I would have a very large whiteboard and pen in my office but not the greatest for interacting with colleagues via distance.

Pencil/paper is my favourite but I need a bigger piece of paper!

I'm hoping to hear from people who actively use something like this in there job, perhaps the beginners forum isn't the best place to look.

Cheers,
Dylan
