Displaying an integer in Win32 API CreateWindow function

Hello. What i'd like my program to do is to display an integer after a button is pressed. For example, I've got the button 'Scavenge', which after it's pressed, displays 'Wood' near the 'Inventory', but what i need also is to display the amount of 'wood' there is, like 0, 1, 2 and etc. not in a message box, but on the same window that all the other stuff's at.
