Programming is hard for me..

I am getting error with this code.

117|error: expected ')' before string constant|
117|error: invalid conversion from 'int' to 'const char*' [-fpermissive]|

My goal is for example:
DownBox1Num = 5
LineBox1Num = 12
Sum these numbers and show with messagebox "Sum of 5 + 12 = 17"

(DownBox1Num "sum" LineBox1Num "equals %d")

What are you trying to do here? What kind of object are you trying to create inside these brackets?
This is the correct synthax:
_stprintf(szResult, _T("sum %d + %d equals %d"), DownBox1Num, LineBox1Num , sumResult);
I am trying to write ''sum of these numbers equals to this'' in the messagebox.
Thank you!! It works.. Can you explain how %d can be equal to different variables?

Look at the examples to understand the principle, then read from the top.
