Rebuild every time i want to debug

I looked but didn't find any topics relating to this but sorry if it already exists.

I don't know whether it is something that i am doing wrong but before i debug i have to rebuild the project, every single time. (visual C++ express)

Can someone please tell me why i keep having to do this?

You must compile the program to run it
