Thinking ahead

I know im asking this pretty early since im a beginner in c++ but i started thinking ahead in time about making actually useful programs and i thought to myself "How am i going to protect my programs from hackers" and then i couldn't stop thinking about that all day. So of course my first response was to google it and guess what popped up? Ways to hack c++ programs and that only brought up my worry's even more so, do you guys have any tips or ideas for protecting your programs from hackers?
