V Model Methodology

Okay, i'm not sure if i'm in the wrong area to ask about this... So Admin please forgive me i'm new...

>Could anyone help explain the V Model to me, i understand the waterfall model but i am finding it hard to understand this V Model, could someone simplify it?
>Does anyone have any life examples where they have worked with the model? Does the model work and is the model worth using?
>If i wasn't to use this model, what model would you recommend for a project creating a dashboard. Which is fed a lot of data, which of course will need to be tested simultaneously?

Thanks C++ Community :)

Morning,
It is the wrong place, but this wiki page sums it up very well indeed:
https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/V-Model

If i wasn't to use this model..

On the link above in the box on the right, have a look at the "Paradigms and models" section.
>Could anyone help explain the V Model to me, i understand the waterfall model but i am finding it hard to understand this V Model, could someone simplify it?
The simplest: Do something -> test it.
