Whilst I'm not exactly a begginer...
I know the basics of object oriented programming, and have been using embedded Lua and Java for quite some time, and I was wondering what exactly I should start on with picking up C++.

As for your first question(not really sure why I answered the second one first) I think you should probably just start from the beginning. You'll probably find you pick up the basic stuff really fast and then just spend more time on the harder stuff. You don't want to miss anything though!
