Good book to start C++ in Visual Studio

Hey there, I wanted to know if Ivor Horton's Beginning Visual C++ 2013 (Wrox Beginning Guides) is a good book to start learning c++ in visual studio. I have never programmed before and wanted to learn C++ first (final decision). Anyway, is this a good book or are there better ones?

hiya,
I don't think you need a book. Plenty of sites online, even this site :) For example:

Hey there, Thanks. But I only have one screen so I wanted a book, and then I could use the screen for the coding. Just to make it easier

Find this:

I have Ivor Horton's book, and it may be good, but I can't stay awake reading it. I never made it to the 12th chapter where he gets into the visual C++, but his instruction on C++ seems at times purposely obtuse.

Beginning C++ Through Game Programming is a lot clearer and it gives you a lot to do to keep you interested.
