Windows SDK

Probably a silly question but if I use Windows SDK do I still need Code:Blocks and the bits and pieces that go with it - or is it completely self sufficient in linking and compiling etc.

Not anymore!

The Windows SDK did used to come with a compiler, etc. up until version 7.1, but this was stopped when Windows Software Development Kit (SDK) for Windows 8 came out.

But you don't need an IDE like Code::Block IDE if you just want a compiler, linker, etc.
