Is This Microsoft Surface Good Enough for Programming

I'm in Software Engineering first year and currently have a macbook, using xcode for my programming 1 and 2 courses this semester. Next semester I have more courses and don't know if I can keep using a macbook for homework and assignments.

Would that Microsoft Surface pro be good enough to run visual studio and whatnot?

You're better off asking at the Surface forums but a 10 second web search indicates that it will run fine if you get one with sufficient memory (4 GB is probably not). I wouldn't ever want to code with one of those cheap keyboards or a little touch screen either but I suppose you could add an external monitor and keyboard/mouse.
