New to the c++ world.

Hello everyone. I am just now starting to get into C++ and could use a push in the right direction. I have worked with VB.net before, but not very much. I have used php/mysql for web development since '00 roughly, as well as some other languages, but php was my primary.

What I am looking for is someone to push me in the right direction to begin my journey of learning C++. What programs are good for a beginner? Tutorials? Basic Information?

I know most boards always tell someone to "SEARCH" but upon searching, everyone seemed to have a different opinion.

Any help is greatly appreciated!
