After a month of self studying c++, i now understand the basics from simple hello world to class. I wanted to jump on game development to earn some programming experience. But before i start my journey i tried to evaluate myself. So i tried the beginners challenge in this site. I answered the first few challenges. Then i got stuck at the challenge where i need to make a programs about pancakes and list them all.
Now my question is should i continue doing console programming until i can make complex console programs or i should just jump into game programming?
Don't get too carried away with the difference. When you have to make an engine (even when using libraries or an existing engine), only the representation and orientation of visual game objects are drawn. There's nothing wrong with writing a graphical game, entirely console based until it really needs to be.
