Models program

Hi, I'm new on this forum and I would like to create my own kind of 3d models and a program to create/edit them. The problem is that I know almost nothing about c++.

Extra question :D = Wich command allows you to make faces of 3 points(triangle) with x, y and z points.
C++ doesn't have such facilities built in. However, all sorts of things are available thru C++ libraries.

You may be interested in using OpenGL, a graphics library started by Silicon Graphics.

Programming examples can be found at Neon Helium.

Wow.
I suggest actually LEARNING C++ first.
Don't try to make your own rendering software, just use an existing graphics library.
Suggestions:OpenGL, DirectX, umm... I can't really think of anything else off the top of my head.. :\
If you feel like using Python, I would suggest getting Blender. It's open-source, and not much programming to do.
Besides, Python is a lot easier than C++ for beginners.
Agreed. One of my friends is learning Python on my recommendation. He had gotten to the point in a few hours with Python that it took me days to get to in C++.
I have helped him with syntax errors, but he's shown good initiative. I think he'll do well. If only I was more proficient, I could be like a mentor :p.
Thanks. :) Yay another question: is there a way for a program to recognize a model? Exemple: an application shows up a cube that you created before with another a program? I saw someone who has created a program wich edits and creates .mdl/.mdx models.

That's what hackers do to get GNU programs to open failsoft orifice word 2003 .doc files. But its illegal to try with .docx, so now they can't do it.

There is a simple way to read .docx. Change extension to .zip, open it up, and change all the .xml files to .html and open them in a web browser. I discovered that after I forgot to save an important piece of History work as .doc, my school use word 2003 and I spent my whole lunch playing around. I was reading on Google and something said 'zipped' and XML so I tried changing it to .zip as a final resort. Then I saw the XML files, and I knew everything was ok. The text was kinda garbled and the formatting was lost, but all's well that ends well.
it may be illegal, but that's never stopped people before :P
@thecheeselover.... I don't know... you're questions are really annoying to me.

It's called Maya and 3dsMax... If you know almost nothing about C++ it's going to take you a VERY long time to get into 3d and an EXTREMELY long time before you can create a model editor... again.... Maya and 3dsMax... even Blender will do.

As far as recognizing 3d models... it can be done a few different ways. But since these questions don't really relate to C++ in my opinion and seem more toward 3d Animation applications and considering you're still in the hello world phase... I won't elaborate because it just won't make sense :)
Yeah but what good is a hacker in jail?
Anyway that's cracking. It interests me on the basis of potential learning but I don't fancy trying to explain to the FBI why I was looking at their filesystem, and being the second Brit being deported for 'hacking'. I hate the media. They love pretending to know what their talking about. 'And here's our technology correspondant Giant Douche. Giant,'
'Yes, well a great day for computers today as samsung just invented a 32 gigabit RAM. This is 32000 megabits, when most computers only have a few hundred megabits. In other news hackers are evil computer communists, and uniting under leaders Linux Torvaldsky and Richard Stallmanov they are planning to crash the stock market by getting computerers to install the free operating system Lunix/GNU and other alternatives to real operating systems. GNU, which stands for We Are Evil, will destroy users computers by overticking the middle processor unit such that it overheats. Giant Douche, BBC news.'
lol!!!! nice news story. that seriously is what they sound like though. "megabits" "kilobits" "32000" "linux/gnu = communism" it's like... why don't you learn about computers before talking about them? megabytes, kilobytes, NOT 32000... 1 MB = 1024 not 1000, Just... wrong. I remember when M$ called Linus and the open-source movement communists. Then as a "pl0x-dont-sue-the-shnitzel-out-of-us" gift, they handed them 2000 lines of code. ahahahahahahaha, great contribution. 2000 out of 12,000,000 lines. yup, that makes it ALL okay. What they should've done would be give the developers of Wine some stuff to help it run windows programs, but they never would. Oh and let's not forget Apple. Which, by the way, is owned by BILL GATES. Well, for the most part it is. the M$ monopoly still avoids being trust-busted because Apple still exists, and it will continue to exist because Gates owns like... 30-45% of it and therefore will stop it from ever going down so that M$ won't be busted. If somehow Apple goes under, like Jobs goes "hai evorybudy, you want foree iphuuune and laots of caesh? kthnxbai" then gives away free iphones and lots of cash, M$ will be trust-busted, then what does that leave us with : Small providers, and Linux/Unix owning the entire market. Oh, and what's this? Linux can't be trust-busted because it's community maintained ?? oh right. :P Well, atleast to my knowledge they can't trust-bust a community run project. I guess they could somehow find a way to trust-bust Redhat, Canonical, and the rest of the corporations that are making them and contributing to the kernel, but where would that get us? Nobody making computers? Some newbie OS being created out of nowhere with a 15 line kernel? A text OS with a kernel named kernel sanders, and a bunch of other names relating back to [company name censored to do copyright issues] (that was stolen from some post i read awhile back the text OS thing. :P actually, i think that was your post chris... -memory block-)
Yeah, the Kentucky Fried OS was my idea :p.
God what an imagination...

And since when is last week a while back? Lol.

'they called [...] communists'
And 'a cancer'. Also, Google the 'halloween documents'.

Too bad for them that as you said, GNU/Linux, as a free system, can't be halted for monopolizing.
And if they were, at least they'd tell us: 'System is going down for halt NOW!'

Edit: my OS will say:
Kernel Panic: Your fries have been burned. System is closing down for night time NOW!

Oh and even if RedHat and Canonical were busted, the GNU project would take over. GNU is registered as a tax-exempt charity. There is nothing MS could do.
And Canonical is non-profit, too.

well, ive got great memory, then i forget things that i dont remember to remember (lol) hence why i said "awhile back" i had absolutely no idea of how long ago that was. But it is a great idea. But it shouldn't say Kernel Panic, it should say "Kernel is panicking :" Anyway, the point is if apple goes down, which i predict it will in the next few years or so, M$ goes down and us GNU users will rule the world. MUAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAH AHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHA HAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHA THE TIME FOR OPEN-SOURCE IS NOW!!!! -takes out 5 bucks and hands an equal division of it to every single person who stands for the open-source movement- It's not communism, its just sharing. lol
