switching to code blocks

ok so i usually have been using dev c++ and am making a switch to code blocks. i uninstalled dev c++ and downloaded code blocks. my computer still wants to open all of the files (such as main.cpp) using dev c++ but it cant because that doesnt exist on my computer anymore. i can just do properties to make the files open with codeblocks but is there a different way to do this?

thanks a lot. i feel like this is a bit of a stupid question.
