Can't find Direct2D App (XAML) in Visual Studio 2013
Hey all, I am relatively new to the coding scene, and I am currently well-versed in the basic fundamental of C++. I've run into quite an embarrassing issue that I've tried every solution to but posting on a forum to solve.
I've been looking at tutorials of people using the new Direct 2D with XAML applications and wanted to try to go along with it. Sadly, it appears the 2013 version is significantly different. For the LIFE of me, I can't figure out how to find the app in Visual Studio 2013 no matter where I look or search.
In the 2012 version, all the people I've seen go like this to get to the Direct 2D app (XAML): Installed > Templates > Visual C++ > Windows Store. This path does not exist for me in the slightest as it is not installed nor can I find it as a template in the online store area.
I know this is a pretty pathetic reason to ask for help, but please reply with any solutions you have. Thanks!
