We need more information to help you here. It might be helpful to everyone if you post what the assignment says (ie the parameters, functions, variables) and submit any of the work you have done on this so far. It is important that you put in most of the work so that you learn something. But everyone on this forum is happy to help!

Thanks for the reply. Unfortunately, we haven't gone over std::map much in my class, and after looking at its class members, I'm not quite sure how it would apply the information I posted above (where each element is mapped to each other as outputted above). Also, as I said, I just wanted to see if my choice of data structure made sense for this assignment. Since I'm fairly new to map, I wanted to see what other programmers would do given an assignment like this.
