Setting up compiler issues C++
Help with netbeans compiling with cygwin - I downloaded Netbeans and it wouldn't let me compile anything so I downloaded cygwin and when it asks me to choose files in the installation I can't find and select "gcc-core", "gcc-c++", "gdb", or "make" files which I need for netbeans.
I have netbeans, downloaded cygwin, and when cygwin installer prompts me to select files I search for gcc, gdb, etc. can't find any of those files in the list. Please help me with this- I got cygwin installer from cygwin.com and installed Cygwin from box-soft.com and netbeans won't compile anything without those files. Do I need a different compiler other than cygwin (like minGW)? I'm using a 64 bit netbeans and 64 bit compiler. What should I do?
Should I not be searching for "gcc" but instead for some other file?
