Web services

Hello,

This is my first time posting in here and i hope you guys will be able to help me out.
I built a system using Embarcadero XE2 and now I have to "integrate" it with an insurance company's system. I basically have to send in new captured information on my system to the insurance guys and i was told that to do this I had an option of using web-services and well... I'm finding it hard to understand them.
Can some please give me options on how to achieve this or point me in the right direction.
