output to database???

is there a way to use file output to a database of some kind like MS Access or to an XML file, or something similar?
not sure here but I would open the ms access or xml save file in a notepad and look at the actual text form and try to imitate the way its arranged, if that is at all posible.
i know with access you can inport information from a txt file but i think you would have to keep inporting the file in order to keep the database updated. xml would probably be to hard due to the formatting. xml is organized but its cascadeding information format wold seem to be a problem for reading the file.
OTL uses stream operations for database I/O. It can connect to many types of databases, including all with ODBC drivers.
sorry but i dont know what OTL or ODBC's are. i have been playing around today with creating xmls and the tags for it. i am hoping to make a program to make xmls automaticly. didnt start off with the idea but sounds good now.lol
