Im not sure how to phrase this question, which is possibly why im not getting anywhere in the search results, however here goes -
About 7months ago I started my programming journey, I chose to begin with c++, my first book( C++ primer 5th eddition by Stanley B.Lippman )which iv now finished, and im pretty confident i know most of it in application.
So my question is at what level must you be at in order to apply for a job as jnr.Dev? Am i suppose to go onto a more intermediate book first? Learn other languages perhaps?
Obviously I don't attend a University where I can compare my knowledge to a syllabus or my peers. Any advice in the right steps to take from here or insight into this would be greatly appreciated.(7months seems like nothing compared to those who spend 3years+ doing computer science)
YOUR BOOK NOT BAD
but i have to tell you that who say spend 3 years+ doing computer science will understand about c++ ? some body cannot understand some basic concept even they study for 3 years.
and in my 3 years Computer engineering. 1 subject just took me 5 months to learn the c++
and i able to understand it.
for me i prefer u need some friend to teach u some basic programming by face to face. and explain . not only explain in comment.
let me advice you something from the real world:
go out there, learn, search, look, watch, keep learning, search, learn more.....
finally you'll have an amazing idea that will make you busy for several months (maybe less), this idea is a great program.
when you publish this program, send a free copy to the company you're interested in.
if the program is good enough, they'll come searching for you.
this is just a personal advice, you can always choose to ignore it.
don't forget to send your e-mail with that program.
