Change font on mac

Hi, I'm a new developer (obviously), and although I will use Cocoa/Objective C to make GUI's, for now I want to be able to change the font and colors of the font so it looks decent, but almost everything that talks about this is for windows. If someone has an easy way to edit the code, that would be great. Thanks.
