An Opportunity to Make an Impact
Legal Aid BC currently has an opportunity for an experienced Manager, Information Technology to join our team in our downtown Vancouver office on a full-time basis. There is the flexibility to work from home during the current pandemic if that is required. Due to the pandemic, the IT requirements of the court system have dramatically changed making this an incredibly exciting time to enter the legal world as an IT professional. Reporting to the Vice President of Finance & Corporate Services, as our new Manager, Information Technology, you'll be responsible for the strategic management of IT resources towards achieving the organization's objectives. This pivotal role will see you applying architecture principles and practices that guide the organization through the business information, process, and technology changes necessary to execute its strategies. In this role, you will also provide leadership to departmental staff and consultants as well as in planning and implementing major strategies and initiatives at the technology and project level. You will also be responsible for organizational change consistent with business and technology organizational strategy.

In order to qualify for this role, you will need a minimum of 8 years of relevant experience covering both technology architecture and design and planning across a variety of technologies (including security, applications database, infrastructure, integration, and cloud) with increasing responsibility preferably in a service-related industry along with previous experience managing and supervising staff. You'll also need a Bachelor's degree in computer science, information systems, or another relevant discipline. Previous demonstratable experience in stacking technologies is an absolute must for this role, in particular on the network architecture side.
